Pricing

Artable is free to open. You set your own prices, and we take a percentage of what you actually earn — so the platform only makes money when you do.

Our platform fee percentage has not been finalised and published yet.

Wherever you see [PLATFORM_FEE_PERCENT]% on this page, that is a placeholder, not a rate we are offering. We would rather show you an obvious blank than a number we might change. The structure described below — how the fee is charged, when, and on what — is settled and accurate.

Free to start

There is no monthly subscription to run an Artable. Creating your account, building your space, uploading work, publishing free content and growing a free-membership audience cost nothing. You are never asked for a card to get set up.

You only connect a payment account when you decide to charge for something.

You set your prices

Artable does not set, cap or recommend what fans pay you. You define your own membership plans — free, monthly and annual, in as many tiers as your work warrants — and your own prices for one-off digital products. You can change them, retire them, or run promotional codes against them at any time.

Because prices are yours, this page has no price table. What follows is what Artable takes.

The platform fee

Artable charges a percentage of each successful transaction:

Recurring memberships
[PLATFORM_FEE_PERCENT]%
Applied to each membership invoice, every billing cycle — including renewals. If a member uses a promotional code, the fee is recalculated from the discounted amount they actually paid, not the list price.
Digital product sales
[PLATFORM_FEE_PERCENT]%
Applied once, to each one-off purchase, at the moment the payment succeeds. Same model, same connected payout account — a digital product sale is not billed differently from a membership.

There is no listing fee, no publishing fee, no fee for free members, and no charge for content that never sells. A payment that fails, or that is refunded, is not a transaction Artable keeps a fee on — see refunds below.

How money actually reaches you

Artable uses Stripe. Before you can charge for anything, you complete Stripe's own hosted onboarding — a short flow where Stripe (not Artable) collects and verifies your identity and payout details. Artable never sees or stores your bank details.

  1. 1. The fan paysThe fan checks out on a Stripe-hosted payment page. The charge is processed through Artable's Stripe account, so their card statement and receipt reference Artable — your fans are not paying a stranger's personal account, and you are not exposed as an individual merchant.
  2. 2. The fee is deductedStripe deducts Artable's platform fee from that payment automatically. There is no invoice to pay us, and no month where you owe Artable money — the fee only ever comes out of money a fan has already successfully paid you.
  3. 3. The balance transfers to youThe remainder transfers to your own connected Stripe account, and Stripe pays it out to your bank on your payout schedule. Your access to that money does not depend on Artable moving it for you.

Stripe charges its own payment-processing fees on top of this. Those are Stripe's published rates, set by Stripe and varying by country, currency and payment method — Artable neither sets them nor adds a margin to them.

Refunds, failed payments and disputes

When a payment is refunded, Artable's platform fee on it is refunded too, and the corresponding transfer to your account is reversed — the refund is corrected on both sides automatically rather than leaving you to reconcile it by hand.

Because payments run through Artable's Stripe account, card-network disputes (chargebacks) are handled at the platform level. You are not asked to operate a Stripe dashboard, respond to a dispute, or absorb a chargeback as an individual.

If a renewal payment fails, the member's access follows the membership lifecycle rather than being cut off the instant a card declines — there is a recovery window, and a cancellation does not necessarily mean access ends the same day.

Refund eligibility for a specific purchase is covered in our Terms of Service.

What it costs a fan

Nothing, unless they choose to pay a creator. Anyone can create an Artable account, follow artists and join free memberships without paying. Artable does not charge fans a platform subscription or add a booking-style surcharge on top of a creator's price — the price a creator sets is the price a fan is asked for.

A fan does need to confirm their email address before they can complete a paid checkout. That verified identity is what a paid membership and its access are attached to, so billing, renewals and account recovery all resolve to one real account rather than a provisional one.
